Lady With a Fan

Thanks a million to for putting the scans together. (It was very very large, and I had to scan it in pieces, then size it down and entrust the pieces to somebody who knows two things about Photoshop programs)

It was a toughie titling and categorizing this, because I originally drew this with fan art in mind, but that brings up some issues because A- I have way too much fan art as it is (Especially of series 'you-know-what') and B- My teacher saw this and liked it, saying she wanted to put it in an art show. The problem there is that there are some strict rules, not only involving copyrights, but in reference use as well. The main rule of reference is that the work must be at least forty percent different from the photo, (I think my horrible drawing skills did enough to distance that). I ended up changing some things at school after I scanned this, just to ensure the forty percent- I made a new image on the fan (My name in Chinese) and I put in a new backdrop with gray chalk. Also something that happened was that this drawing tore right down the middle of her head while I tried to get it out of my drawing pad. So it has a blatant tear line there now, even though it was taped and charcoaled over with care.

Gah! The spacing of the eyes is horrible. *Punches self*

Anyhow, this is the version I am content with having up for now and until further notice, I'm just going to pretend this is a completely generic drawing, although if you'd like to pretend she is character "xxx-xxxxx", I'm not gonna stop you.
